October is the month to be on the dark side of the Rainbow Scrappy Challenge.

Today I am serving up spicy blackened fish.

Plus, today is the sixth and last day of Vicki W.'s Fall Giveaway. As you can see, I have a tendency to favor bright colors. So while the Rainbow Scrappy Challenge enjoys the dark side, let's give away a baker's dozen (13) of bright multi-colored fabrics. And because I can't remember the last time I saw the sun, how about leaving a comment about whether you saw the sun today or yesterday and you'll be counted in the random drawing for brights.

You have until Oct. 22, 2014 to leave a comment for each day and the daily winners will be posted on this blog on Oct 24, 2014.  And for those of you participating in the Scrappy Rainbow Challenge, you may want to check out Friday's giveaway because that was pick your color day--a chance to fill in colors you have run out of.

Lovely sunshine when I woke up this morning but the clouds are building. The sun is peaking out between the clouds from to time and makes all of the autumn colour just sing.

The past couple days have been amazingly bright and sunny, with big white, puffy clouds! Autumn is my most favorite time of the year-- because of days like this... So refreshing after the hot and humid summers here in coastal Alabama! Thank you so much for the chance to win! :-)

I did see the sun today. It was so gorgeous around noon that it was hard to come back to work. The perils of lunch hour. ;) I like the fish with the firework inside him. Thanks for the chance to win.

I'd love to win a collection of bright, sunny fabrics...my favorite too! Mr. Sunshine was out in all his glory all day today and it was perfect for working in the garden. I got so much done. I even hung out 2 loads of clothes on the line...not sure how many more times this year I can do that!

It's been pretty rainy in my part of the uk for a few days now. Now that I've typed this the sun is trying to shine through my window as the clouds pass. :)

The older I get the brighter colors I like!! So these are right up my alley. The sun has just risen over the horizon and is about to be high enough to come in my window and blind me where I am sitting.
