This morning began with a power outage so I was a bit worried about making my contribution to the Rainbow Scrappy Challenge. This is the week of the origami crane.

These cranes are gray, not brown. But they matched the rainy day and at least match the more subdued tones for the month.

But I've had bigger concerns to deal with...the kittens that were born at the beginning of the year are changing size and shape. And I think at some point all these kittens are supposed to become a quilt. But each color will be a different size and shape.

So I thought I would make some kitten preserves.

Whew! Quite a job, but at least I don't have to worry about the kittens spoiling and becoming cats. And this also means you can come back on Monday for the Fall Giveaway and know that this time I won't be offering free kittens.

Those poor canned kitties! Looking forward to seeing lots of kitties playing together in a quilt someday soon.

I love the kitties. They look like they'd play nice with your mice and fish blocks...and maybe some cheese blocks. (Pun may or may not be intentional.)

Oh Sally, those kitties are growing up I guess--can you keep kitties in a bottle ( reminds me of the song:
"If I could keep Time in a bottle" ) Lovely pieces--that crane is too beautiful in those shades...hugs, Julierose

I've thought about kitten preserves for years with all these stray/feral cats around here in the country. No wonder all the barn cats gather around me in a circle with evil looks every time I venture outside. I have a feeling they have been thinking of people preserves.
