White Singer Featherweight

My niece said she was thinking of taking sewing lessons but her mother didn't know what she would do for a sewing machine. My sister-in-law had an old featherweight that she had inherited from her mother, but she couldn't imagine her daughter would want to sew with that old thing. Needless to say "that old thing" is now getting a spa treatment and will be quite a cherished birthday present for my niece.

Oh I have one just like that! It was my mother's and she got it gifted to her by a friend. Neither my Mom nor I ever even used it. I would love to see it go to someone who would appreciate it....hugs, Julierose

What a beautiful machine. Quite a few women in our guild sew with Featherweight Singers. I have a celery colored one but it needs a new electrical plug it cannot be used. The black one that I have was manufactured in the year I was born. ...so it is ancient. Both purchased on e-Bay many many years ago.
