Lego block and kitten progress

I'm back to making lego blocks. My revised method is to sew together lengths of 1.25 inch wide strips to make a very long single strand. This part of the construction is heavily monitored by kittens. I then sew these into long strips of three...which I sew into long strips of nine...and these then get cut into 7.25 square lego blocks.

Reno prefers a paws-on approach to adjusting stitch tension, by pulling down on the strands as I'm feeding them through the sewing machine. He does this under the sewing table so he can also monitor the foot pedal. Yesterday, he even figured out how to pull the sewing machine cord out of the surge protector...since having cords around kittens is a violation against kitten safety standards that had to be remedied.

But most of the time, Reno and Daytona supervise each other. And tomorrow is their big adventure back to the shelter where they will have an operation and be put up for adoption. This depends somewhat on how well Daytona's right eye is healing...currently he gets eye treatments every two hours. Despite not having sight in that eye, he is quite capable of keeping up with his brother and staying in trouble. Both of them have become masters at stash climbing.

Kitten University certainly has a rigorous curriculum.

How will you continue to sew without being heavily supervised?

Love how you made the string process even faster. You must have efficient supervisors.

My aunt is currently fostering kittens, but there is no sewing component to the curriculum. Clearly they're getting a substandard education. I hope they eventually get the proper remedial classes...

Talk about a cute picture - these two have cuteness in spades!
