Fushia Owl

Please welcome this late arrival. Fuschia owl is replacing Easter owl. The other owls quarantined the Easter owl because he was a sticky mess, appeared to have measles, and no one wanted to stand near him.

Easter owl, aka Measles owl, is the one in the lower left hand corner. It may seem cruel for the other owls to treat him this way, but nature is not always kind. Plus that's nothing compared to my ripping out his toes so I could give them to Fushia Owl.

Although they are not standing in their final positions, they do seem relieved that Measles Owl is gone. And now I suggest a trip to visit the last gathering of the Rainbow Scrappy Challenge for 2015 and hopefully others are not having as many problems assembling their quilts.

Perhaps you can use the remains of Measles Owl as a quilt label on the back. I'm sure she would like to tell whooooo the maker was and dish on your proclivity for dismembering sick birds.

I like Cathy's idea! Maybe a little note that he is in quarantine for measles on the back =) Great gathering of owls. Reminds me of Harry Potter =)

Oh, poor dotty owl. I liked the dots. Well, somehow you got twenty owls from 11 months of colors, good on you! I like them a lot! Will they hang in your studio? Watching...

What a wonderful parliament of owls. Obviously, they took their own house vote to exile the measles owl. I agree with the others that the measles owl needs his place in the sun as a label on this quilt. It has been great fun to see your animals and birds appear each week.

I vote for Ms Measles as a label on the back. After quarantine she could opt for prosthetic legs. Even prisoners get needed surgery. However, Ms Fuschia is a very elegant replacement, even if she does have a taste for little bunnies. But no owl is perfect.

I agree with the label idea. She just wouldn't (couldn't) play nicely with the other owls, so she needs to be put in 'time out' on the back of the quilt!
