Dear Jane A8, J12 and more fabric

Hi. I'm Buddy. I get to host the fabric giveaway today. I'm so happy to join in the fun because there have been so many nice comments from such thoughtful people.  It's such a treat...did someone say TREAT! WHERE? WHERE? GIMME. ME NOW! TREAT!

And look what I found on the floor. It's Dear Jane block A8 or Florence Nightingale. Staff was trying to take a picture of this when a cat climbed up the design wall and knocked them down.

This block was lying next to it. It's Dear Jane block J12 or Rebecca's Basket.

And this is the cat that caused the disruption. She's my favorite toy. I like to chase her. And sometimes when I bite her she makes a noise like a squeak toy. Fun!

And look. Here's the fabric for today's giveaway. There are forty different fabrics and four chances to win. First place is a set of five inch strips. Second place is a jellyroll or 2.5 inch strips. And then there are two 5 inch square charm packs. If you would like to be included in the drawing, just leave a comment explaining why you prefer dogs to cats. Or vice versa. Whatever that means.

I prefer cats to dogs. Though I'm including Buddy the Dog in with the cats, because he is remarkably cat-like. (Sorry, Molly...)

I like both cats and dogs, but have a slight preference for dogs. Buddy, I really like your portrait at the top of the page -- Have you thought of modeling? Maybe for cat food labels?

Although Molly is beautiful and has quite the sassy personality, I think my kitty of choice would be Buddy. I'm basically a dog person so a cat who would come for treats, play with me, sit on my lap, and love my dog (that's a requirement Buddy)would be perfect! Besides, who could resist those fabulous blue eyes?

Buddy - you had me with that heartfelt pose in your formal picture! Doesn't matter if you're more cat-like or dog-like (I like 'em both!), there's a jar of treats for you at my house...whenever you come for a visit!

Mmmm - tricky one!! I like both dogs and cats and always have one or the other sharing the house. I really prefer dogs - horror - but my cat, Leila, is more like a dog than any other cat we have had living with us. Sits on hind legs for food, comes when I whistle her and loves, loves to sit on my lap. So I'm pleased that Buddy is having his chance today to pick winners - give him a big kiss from me!

I am a cat person through and through. Other than when I was going through university I have always lived with cats. I admire their appreciation of life's little joys - a beam of sunshine, a little bit of ice cream or cheese, a cuddle and a warm bed.

Not sure I understand the question? Why would you prefer dogs? As I understand, the internet was created to distribute cute cat pictures and videos. This blog almost has it right, but I have seen some posts which focussed on sewing ONLY.

Buddy, you’re a handsome guy. And I still think that spot on your shoulder reminds me of an angel wing. About cats and dogs - I’ve rarely met a cat or dog I haven’t liked, but overall there is no contest. Cats rule! That may have something to do with my name - CAThy - but I think it has more to do with the cats (including you, unless you’re masquerading for Molly as a dog).

Cats get my vote because I'm a cat in a people suit.

Sort of what Barbara said -- I like cats because they're more like me... independent, a bit moody, sometimes standoffish, but often amusing!

Buddy, if you think like a dog and want to be one, I do like dogs. But having had a cat, I have a slight preference for cats. Your photo should be on the cover of Cats magazine.

I've never lived where I could have pets so only got to dog/cat sit for friends when they were away. I think dogs are less work but they are more attentive and come when called. The cats seemed to have their own world which might include me or not. When I get a chance to live where I could have pets I think I'll have one of each.

I prefer chickens over cats and dogs because they are tastier. But if the choice is cat or dog...cats pester me when I am gardening and when I'm lounging on the deck - they hover around my legs so I can't walk and sometimes they try to trip me or they jump in my lap when I'm already sweaty hot or they use my newly dug garden spot for a litter box. All that is so endearing so I will say I prefer cats over dogs if I can't have chickens.

I prefer cats for so many reasons it would be hard to imagine writing them all down. I'm sure I wouldn't live long enough to finish my comments. But I will give you my #1 reason: Dogs are spitty and they have bad breath, and they seem always to want to lick me, which is gross.

No pets in this household, but cats are definitely more interesting and have much more personality. So glad Buddy was allowed to make an appearance.

I'm a dog person. They love to please. Cats need to be pleased. But really, I love all animals. Thanks for the chance to win.

I love both cats and dogs. Each has their own special qualities that make them loveable. Thanks!

I like both, but am definitely more of a cat person. I love that my cats don't need me, but are willing to put up with me providing for them

I prefer dogs over cats, mostly because cats cause my eyes to swell and itch ferociously. I kinda like an animal that will welcome you home and look deep into your eyes. My dog does that.

I like both cats and dogs, but currently only have cats, six to be exact, as Elsa recently became a momma.

I know it's hard to believe with such a smart and talented cat around, but I have always preferred dogs. Sorry, Molly.
