Happy Birthday to Me

It's my first birthday and time to consider what I have accomplished in my first year on earth. As many of you know, I was a free range kitten that was accidentally swept up in some weird feral cat ring. Once I hissed, I mean explained myself, I began my reign at Kitten U. Currently, we have one staff member and a dog named Buddy. There are constant solicitations for entrants to Kitten U, but none of them meet my stringent criteria.

As you may know, in honor of my birthday, I am getting rid of some of this excess fabric so I can have more room to work. Today is Kaffe Collective day and there are three items on offer: a Kaffe Collective JellyRoll (forty 2.5 inch strips) and two Kaffe Collective Charm Packs (forty 5 inch squares). These were selected by me and cut by staff with my help.

I am only including this photo to humor staff.

If you think you would like one of these, please leave me a birthday greeting in the comments section. The first pick gets the jelly roll and the two runners up get the charm packs. And everyone should also feel welcome to see what is on offer tomorrow. The winner will be selected and notified on Sunday, August 7.

This is the new cat tunnel I requested for my birthday. I am pretending to be shy and am going to ignore it for a week or so. My dog Buddy is not allowed in my tunnel. If he is a good boy, I might have staff give him a stick.

Happy Birthday! Aren't you the special kitty, to have a tunnel and get to play with fabric. 24Tangent@gmail.com

We have a similar tunnel at the shelter, but I like yours better! I love to hear it crinkle when the cats run though the tunnel at 70 mph. I worry about paparazzi crashes.

Happy B-Day!

Molly,
You look like the staff has taken good care of you this first year, happy, healthy, and sassy! Enjoy your special day and the wonderful new tunnel.

Happy Birthday from Lucy, Linus and me -- they have some cool toys, but your new tunnel is the best!

Happy Birthday, Molly! And did you know it's your "dog Buddy" 's birthday too? Alfie and Darla are jealous of your tunnel, but they'll just have to settle for all the contractor tools and mess laying around for the next few weeks... And what a generous giveaway you've coordinated!

Surprised that only three of the four anniversary photos featured a cat. Can we have more?
Suzi says she has resisted her cat tree for three years now - Molly still has a long way to go with that tunnel.

May your birthday be filled with cat naps and no cat-astrophes. Have a mice day!

happy birthday, Molly! Enjoy it to the hilt. Don't show too much interest in that tunnel; keep your queenly approval low key. Love the pretty fabric, thanks for the chance to win it.

Happy birthday from Contiki and Kalia! They are in awe of the magnificence that you have brought to the Cat World and your control over said World. They would be most appreciative if their staff member, the "One with Thread", were to win some fabric. It tends to make her relaxed and more liberal with treats. All the best in your second year.

Happy, happy birthday, Molly and Buddy! Like you, I am also a feral kitty, but I am only 7 weeks old. Mom reads your blog every day, but she sometimes mumbles when she reads about some of your trials and tribulations with your human. I guess she doesn't want me to follow in your footsteps, but you are my hero! I see all sorts of levels I can aspire to by following in your footsteps. I'll have to make her quit mumbling, and speak up when she reads your blog. If my human were to win some fabric, she would be quilting instead of waiting for me to be a "little holy terror" (her words). Have a purrfectly wonderful day! My human's name is Barb and her email is rickhayden@comcast.net.

Happy birthday, sweet Molly. Those of us who appreciate you as the Queen of the Universe do gratefully thank you for this opportunity to send you our obeisance! (Buddy said that last line was over the top, but I disagree.)
(Psst - Buddy, happy birthday to you, too. But don't tell Molly I said that...)

Happy Birthday, Molly. You have compiled an impressive list of accomplishments in your first year. Your control over the staff and Kitten U speak volumes. May your second year bring increasing satisfaction in ruling your world. Your taste in fabrics is unequalled, as your choices for the giveaway show.

BTW, Happy Birthday Molly.

Happy Birthday to you! You've accomplished so much in your first year. I must say you have excellent taste in choosing staff who know the best fabrics to buy. It must have been difficult to leave those strips alone while your staff cut them. Perhaps you snuck a few off to play with later? Thank you so much for sharing. I hope you had a few special treats on your birthday, too! Thanks.

Happy Belated Birth Day. I hope you enjoyed your day. I love your glasses, they are so chic. My girls are jealous of your new tunnel, they would like to come and play with you; as they are also rescue kitties. Making room for more scraps? My girls just love scraps; they love those the best in my room. I go to pick one up; and it's gone!!!. Again, Happy Birthday!!

Molly, I hope you had a purrific birthday full of yarn, catnip and strings from all that fabric cutting! Would you believe, Molly, that I don't have a single piece of Kaffe Fassett in my collection? I would happily take that nuisance away from you so you can indulge in other meowy pleasures.
