Stonefields

I enjoy browsing Supergoof's blog and it's there that I fell in love with the Stonefields quilt by Susan Smith.  So yes, I have decided to make one for myself, using a similarly soft palette.

The applique designs are especially forgiving. And it means that I can participate in Kathy's Slow Stitching Sunday.

And here are four stars where I could highlight some fun novelty fabric.

Now this looks interesting!!! I hopped over to the blog and the quilt is beautiful, I'm going to enjoy watching your blocks come along, the ones today are so calming - well, perhaps the monkey may not be so calming!

You have jumped in! Are you devising the blocks yourself or do you have instructions?

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE that vintagey looking fabric you used in the star centers. And I'm off to check out that Stonefields since I'll be retired soon and looking for something to do.

Love the blocks you've done so far - especially those stars!
(And will there be Stonefields alternate universe blocks?)
