Chickens, puppies and winner

I followed my advice from yesterday, and decided to start sewing although I don't have everything unpacked or set up in some semblance of efficiency. I have never been efficient, so why start now?

And this was not Molly's advice from yesterday. I misunderstood her. She wanted me to spend more time playing with her and cuddling. So we did.

Meanwhile, Buddy the puppy is trying to act like a cat...the social pressures in this house are so fierce. Luckily, the windows here have ledges that are wide enough to accommodate a small pony.

And here is the selection of fabrics for the September 5 giveaway.

The winner of this set of fat quarters is:  works4me

Another great chicken. I can't wait to see these made up into a quilt. Poor Buddy, you get no respect. I am always in your corner Buddy.

Thank you so much for the fat quarters. I was drawn to the birds. Must come from being a long-time cat-mom. Love the other fabrics as well. You are one generous staff member.

Had any more visits from the local cats?

Of course you should be sewing some - don't want you going into withdrawal... Unpacking will always be there. Julia

Yeah.....sometimes we need to overlook what needs to be done and just sew.

How smart of you to start sewing! Seeing some progress, will help give you that nudge to get at the rest of the unpacking and organizing.

Congratulations, Works4Me ... how fitting for you, a Halloween flavour to those fabrics!

Buddy looks very intent on something outside.

Love that clucker! And it's a good thing you found a house with pony-sized windowsills.
