Spiderwebs and Chicken Prep

Today I continued to sew together the spiderweb quilt top.

I did take some time out to count my chickens before they hatch.

Oh my, you’re going to have a ladybug chicken? And a poodle chicken (they’re rare!) and even a cat chicken. It’s hard not to muse about the goings-on in your sewing barnyard....

The other chickens are going to chase the ladybug chicken, you know. Because ladybugs are totally tasty chicken snacks. (Don't tell Buddy I said 'snack'...)

Personally, I think the lion chicken will protect the more vulnerable of the species. Wonderful how much fun you are having with these. And, therefore, so am I.

Love the teal setting fabric you are using for the Spiderweb blocks. It really pops all the colors in those blocks. Hope you got lots of chickens hatched this week.
