After the unexpected demise of the blue cranes, Tommy suggested I switch to mice. According to him, mice are a lot faster and don't just hang around like sitting ducks, so to speak. He suggested I make it big and juicy. The finished block is 12 by 14 inches but seems to be on the dry side. And he's pink because that's the color for the month of February in the Rainbow Scrap Challenge 2014.
Tommy looks very trustworthy to me...

ReplyDeleteSuch a cute mouse xx
ReplyDeleteLive this mouse pattern, it really caught my eye.....was it easy to make up?? Tommy looks suspicious of you taking his photo lol
ReplyDeleteI wasn't very organized when I made the mouse so it took longer than it should have. I drew him on graph paper and then pieced it section by section. I made him big so nothing would be to fussy to sew. I made templates for the ears, but cut the tail "improv" style. I should have used templates for the tail too! And the eyes and nose are fused on. It definitely has a little bit of everything.
ReplyDeleteJust catching up on RSC posts. Oh, how cute. Pink seems perfect for a mouse. Demise of the cranes? Did something happen to those lovely blue cranes?
ReplyDeletesuch a cute mouse! And Tommy is gorgeous
