Owl Quilt

Easter owl has recovered from his surgery and is ready to join the flock or rather the party.

There will be twenty owls. We're still waiting for New Year's Eve Owl, Aqua Owl, and the rest of Valentine Owl. I was going to sew them together wing to wing, but that will look too crowded even with more space between feet and head.

If you'd like to see the progress others are making, fly on over to the Rainbow Scrappy Challenge.

  1. What a glorious parliament of owls. The rest of them, especially that New Year’s Eve Owl, is eagerly anticipated. As for your setting, whatever parliamentary procedure you choose will be perfect. :-)

  2. Those are sooooooooooooooooo cute! It looks like a lot of work went into those. I can't wait to see them all together.

  3. Yeah, they might need a little more room between them. You know how they end up flapping their wings once they start telling knock knock jokes. Someone's liable to get pushed off the perch...

  4. The owls are just wonderful. So colourful. I agree you need more space between them. Will they be night owls with some dark sashing. I saw a cute layout where the owls appeared to be roosting on tree limbs. I'm sure once you settle down and audition different possibilities you'll find one that is just right.

  7. Easter owl looks wonderfully hale and hearty after the surgery. By the way, a little owl told me that your piglet tute has resulted in a mass takeover of Gayle's blog by a growing riot of piglets. Do you have a tute for controlling them, or did the same thing happen with your owls?

  10. Oh, yes...far more delightful than the murders of crows we have around here! I might have to make some of these after I finish my rabbits. Hmmm, or should I go with the pigs? Or the other rabbits and those cabbages? Well, only a year or so until retirement...

  12. Poor hootie owl - hopefully it is a quick recovery after surgery. Every time I see these I think of the group Hootie and the blowfish. =)
