Blue Seahorse

Here is the seahorse block in blue. He is joining the Rainbow Scrappy Challenge to celebrate a month of blue.

This is the seahorse before I wiped the smile off his face with my seam ripper.

And here's Molly the Adopted Kitten visiting the sewing room for the first time. She has been busy pointing out kitten safety violations. For example, she jumped up on the ironing board to show me the iron was on. She has also claimed the sewing chair as her executive's chair where she will compile the list of violations. Right now she is perched on my shoulder so she can authorize each word that I type.

  2. The seahorse is awesome! I think you nailed it going grinless. And Molly seems to be fitting right in and taking up Tommy's work. We know she'll have her paws full.

  4. That sea horse is lovely in blue. Our pets have an uncanny way of finding those violations don't they?

  5. Wonderful seahorse and I do hope you're going to make more. I have been fascinated by these amazing little things since I was a child. Everyone needs a kitty sitting on their shoulder as they write a blog post, I'm sure she's a great help!

  6. The adopted kitten, I see...
That second seahorse looks like he was actually laughing. Chortling, even.

  8. The cats are great at finding the non-cat proofing in the sewing room. I had one who was fascinated with the needle.... good thing she is no longer interested in that... I distract her with a nice comfy quilt on the floor to cuddle up in =).

  14. Why did the smile have to go? Both versions are very pretty, especially the curly tail. It seems that Molly has exceptional executive abilities. She will go far in life, it seems.
