More Dear Jane progress

Today I played some more catch up on the Dear Jane blocks. This is G7 or Indianapolis which is the center block.
As you would probably expect by now, I made an irregular nine-patch and then sewed it to the back of circle cut from the background fabric to make an inset circle. After that, I appliqued the small rectangles on the four extensions on the outside of the circle.

And next I made block E8 or Mama's Maze. This breaks down to nine-patch like blocks with thick sashing. In any case, this was just straight strip piecing.

Meanwhile, Molly has joined a work study program for velcro cats. If she isn't in my lap, she climbs my back to sit on my shoulder. This was also one of Cyclone's favorite activities.
