I was looking at the monkey today and asked myself the obvious question...Where did his tail go?
I had made the tail and top of the head first and then made the rest of the monkey. I have no idea how I then made a new top of the head and forgot about the tail. In any case, we now know why Monkey is blowing his top. I've mapped out a new version of the monkey that I hope will appear a bit friendlier and happier. So this one will just have to retire after a short period of being an experimental monkey.
Meanwhile, Molly is trying out new dorm rooms for Kitten U in case I decide to foster kittens again this year. She first devised this cat organization solution when she received a notice from the shelter saying that they were looking for fosters or adopters and donations because 36 cats were brought in from a hoarding situation.
Made my first standing bunny today. Love it. Hope to get three more done this week. Thanks for your patterns and great tut's.
ReplyDeleteThank goodness I don't like monkeys, so I won't be tempted to make those. Its bad enough that I'm doing cats and kittens, with rabbits jockeying for a starting position. In other news, now I can blame you for being a bad influence: I ordered too much fabric from Hancock's of Paducah, including Maude Asbury's Geo Fabulous. I guess I had it coming....
ReplyDeletePS - Molly is just so dang cute, I can hardly stand it!!!
ReplyDeleteIs 5.7 l the approved size of the dorm?
ReplyDeleteIs there a pattern for the monkey? Please, Please say yes !! Molly is beautiful, her eyes are gorgeous in this photo. I have an all black "kitten" that sits in this same size box. The only problem is that the box is full of 4-patches, so when a 5 year old, 15 pd "kitten" sits "on/in" the box some things are over filling :-). Yes, she is chubby and yes the box is small, but she still makes me smile when she sit in it
ReplyDeleteYou can hoard kittens? And here I've been only hoarding fabric...
ReplyDeleteMolly in a box reminds me of my daughter's cat Ornery - a fat Garfield type cat who tries to fit herself into any little box that comes into the house. Makes me laugh.
ReplyDeleteI don't understand cat hoarding. Who in their right mind would even have one?
