Forewarning

Molly is very busy preparing for her birthday celebration next week. She will be one year old. First, she is sponsoring a FABRIC GIVEAWAY on this blog starting on Monday (August 1) and wrapping up on the following Sunday. She has ordered some crinkly cat tunnels and wants to make room for them.

Sticking with the birthday theme, it will be a fabric bakery shop kind of giveaway with jelly rolls, a dessert roll, charm packs and mini-charms. These are all coming out of my stash. Some of the sets will be Kaffe Collective fabrics and the rest will be hand, I mean paw, selected by Molly.  I suggested a "rainbow" selection--meaning a run around the color wheel--with variation in value. Molly yawned.

Now normally I would mention that there will be random drawings, but that was when Tommy was in charge. Since Molly will run the random number process, I can give no reassurances about fairness. In fact, if you have written a comment about how I should use a water bottle on Molly, you might want to start making your apologies now. She likes groveling.

Meanwhile, it has been interesting rummaging around in the stash. I found these three fabrics and I swear that I've never seen these before. Ever. Except that there is a hunk cut out of the middle fabric. There are so many things that go on in the sewing room that I know nothing about...

  1. I don't think I've ever suggested the water bottle, though I think I might have suggested booby-trapping the design wall to come loose from its moorings when a certain cat was near the top. And of course, I'm truly truly sorry I said this, even though I was obviously talking about Buddy, but I'm still sorry. (Is it working?)

  2. Oh Dear! I know I mentioned a water bottle once but that was in relation to trying to use one with Leila - I resisted going down that track thanks to a few wise words from Molly! I'm sure her paw picked fabrics will be just wonderful.

  3. Happy Birthday Molly! (Do I dare wish the same to Buddy?) I hope you get lots of t-r-e-a-t-s! (I had to type it that way otherwise my two kitties would be all over my keyboard looking for them!)

  5. Ooh big day coming for Molly. Happy 1st Birthday and hopefully tunnels and treats to spend the day, unless there is some fabric to lay upon. How fun to be a kitty.

  6. Oh, Molly...you don't look a day over six weeks. You are the most beautiful cat I've ever seen, and your fabric choices are going to be meowvelous, I just know it. Sadie loves the bundle you picked out for her pawtrait. Happy birthday, pretty girl.

  7. Happy Birthday to HRH Molly and to brother Buddy too! Alfie wanted me to tell you that he's glad Molly has finally "come of age". Since he's 3 now, he can't be caught fawning over underage kittens, you know. But he has always (like me, of course) thought Molly to be beautiful beyond words. And if a spray bottle was ever mentioned from these quarters....um, we are humbly sorry.

  9. Happy birthday to Molly -- you've grown up so fast! I have the same thing happen sometimes when I rummage in the stash. Where on earth did this fabric come from? I do like the one on the right with the black circles on red, though I have no idea how I'd use it...
