Yes, it's the last Saturday for teal at the Rainbow Scrappy Challenge. Since its the beginning of the year, I still don't have a firm grasp on my RSC projects for this year. I made a teal chicken although I'm not certain I'm going to follow through with a chicken quilt. Maybe I will just throw all the barnyard animals together and let them fight it out.
Here are the blue-green/green-blue spools.
And although I started the month with these pinwheel blocks, I made more.
Meanwhile, the daffodils are celebrating spring. To honor their arrival, we had a thunderstorm pass through that flattened them to the ground.
That chicken looks like it is speedy to me, I think i would be able to tough it out in a farmyard mmix! The pinwheels are lovely, I really like the layout, so hope your going to make a whole quilt top.
ReplyDeleteLove your teal blocks, especially the chicken!
ReplyDeletePretty pretty teals!
ReplyDeletePoor daffs...
The teal chicken is GORGEOUS! Love the spools and pinwheels too. Fun, fun.
ReplyDeleteLove that chicken square!
ReplyDeleteI like the idea of a Barnyard quilt...I've been thinking on it!
ReplyDeleteI want some daffodils. I had one crocus up because it was in the 60s last week but it snowed a little last night and was around 20 degrees this morning. No wonder everyone around here (but me) is sick.
A part of RSC I like is looking at everyone's fabrics. It never ceases to amaze me that I rarely have any that anyone else has.
Your daffodils are (were?) so beautiful! It's too early for them here in Colorado, but they are starting to show their leaves just a bit above ground. I love all your teal blocks - especially the chicken!
ReplyDeleteSuch a fun chicken block!
ReplyDeleteHope your daffodils recover!
What a sad end for the daffodils, which are a long time coming, here in WI, but at least you got the photo. Thanks a lot. I have about five RSC17 projects so far this year, but only two of each per month. Don't worry about the numbers, just, have, fun, doing what you enjoy.
ReplyDeleteI will be following your progress on the Pinwheel blocks ...
ReplyDeleteLovely projects you are working on. Of course my fav is the pinwheels, lol. Need to make some chicken too. Love, love, love the fabric with the hearts. ;^)
ReplyDeleteThe colors & textures in your stash are always wonderful! I don't miss winter in Central VA, but I do miss daffodils!
ReplyDeleteYour teal blocks are wonderful. Especially love the chicken for the fun factor.
ReplyDeleteSuch wonderful tints and shades of AQUAMARINE!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful teal blocks, and lovely looking chook! Just catching up on my reading, been unwell.
ReplyDeleteI loved your pigs quilt at MidAtlantic! Several people were commenting about it and writing down your name to get the tutorial. I told them you had a whole menagerie of animal blocks.
ReplyDeleteI love your chicken and I think a barn yard full of colorful characters would make a really fun quilt
