I now have two sections completed to the Dementor quilt. I was visiting this blog, minding my own business when, Oh Scrap!, Gayle of Mangofoot presented a new quilt she was working on that was quite fabulous. She introduces it here. I'm making it in a different fashion that I explain here.
Meanwhile, I'm pulling the I-spy quilt together. There are 99 blocks for each side of this reversible quilt. I'm putting four I-spy blocks together at a time before I try and figure out the final layout.
Both projects are coming along beautifully - I love your I-spy.
ReplyDeleteYour I spy quilt is coming together really nicely. I usually follow Gayle down her rabbit holes but I am watching this one from the sidelines. Way too many tiny pieces for me.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing with Oh Scrap!
2 down - only 14 more to go....I've been toying with the idea of starting the Dementor/Garden Mosaic quilt. I like their term for crating time: Longer Term. :-) Definitely a leader/ender project
ReplyDeleteYour "I explain here" link goes to Gayle's intro post. I'm intrigued by this one, but just can't tackle one more project with tiny pieces right now.

I really like the angled setting for the I-spy. I've never seen it done with two different surrounding fabrics like that before. Neat!
ReplyDeleteGreat quilts! Can you share the name of the I Spy quilt pattern? I made one similar wonky I Spy, but the wonky borders were much deeper and didn't form the cool secondary pattern as yours. I'd love to give it a try.
