Demented Spies

I now have two sections completed to the Dementor quilt. I was visiting this blog, minding my own business when, Oh Scrap!, Gayle of Mangofoot presented a new quilt she was working on that was quite fabulous. She introduces it here. I'm making it in a different fashion that I explain here.

Meanwhile, I'm pulling the I-spy quilt together. There are 99 blocks for each side of this reversible quilt. I'm putting four I-spy blocks together at a time before I try and figure out the final layout.

  1. Both projects are coming along beautifully - I love your I-spy.

  2. Your I spy quilt is coming together really nicely. I usually follow Gayle down her rabbit holes but I am watching this one from the sidelines. Way too many tiny pieces for me.

Thanks for sharing with Oh Scrap!

  3. 2 down - only 14 more to go....I've been toying with the idea of starting the Dementor/Garden Mosaic quilt. I like their term for crating time: Longer Term. :-) Definitely a leader/ender project

  4. Your "I explain here" link goes to Gayle's intro post. I'm intrigued by this one, but just can't tackle one more project with tiny pieces right now.

  5. I really like the angled setting for the I-spy. I've never seen it done with two different surrounding fabrics like that before. Neat!

  6. Great quilts! Can you share the name of the I Spy quilt pattern? I made one similar wonky I Spy, but the wonky borders were much deeper and didn't form the cool secondary pattern as yours. I'd love to give it a try.
