I created quite a mess as I made the last of the large spools. Given it is a charm quilt with no repeats, I dug through looking for new patterns that I wanted as spools...you know, like fabric with spools printed on it.
Now I am trying to get everything off the storage floor and back onto storage shelves. And as I'm folding and stacking, I'm saving out fabrics that want to be in Bonnie's mystery quilt...maybe.
I had also packed away Kaffe stripes that I bought back in the 90s. These are the thin stripes.
These are the medium stripes.
And these are varied stripes.
I also made a handful of spools. The spool bits have been sitting on the sewing table in a big pile just daring Molly and Buddy to knock them to the floor.
Love your color choices for Bonnies sal.
ReplyDeleteI bought a bag of what I thought were 1-1/2" squares, turned out to be 2" finished bowties with lots of them to be finished. There is a stack of done ones that she ran a thread thru the center to keep them in a stack. Probably 150 or so. it would make a great cat toy for Molly!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see those colors in action!
ReplyDeleteGood luck keeping those taunting spool bits in line! Poor Molly and Buddy are being entrapped by them, I'm sure.
I haven’t even managed to glance at my stash for Bonnie’s colours, let alone my own devised scheme. Time is running out on me. Your brights are magnificent.
ReplyDeleteI like pink in that stack of Bonnie's mystery quilt.
ReplyDeleteI have a giant bag of those stripes in storage too. Probably enough for a dozen quilts. I look forward to seeing what you do with them :)
