Employee of the Year

Today Molly wants to postpone my usual nonsense so she can announce that she and Buddy are making a crucial decision about who will be their employee of the year for 2018. They have strict criteria for their staff and it includes empathy, listening and communication skills, flexibility, positive attitude, and basic hygiene. Two employees up for consideration this year include:

Employee one:  Rock

Employee two:  Potato

Buddy did think I at least deserved an honorable mention for having body heat, but he was overruled by Molly.

  1. Okay - I was expecting something like the rock for the other contender, but for you as staff not to even be nominated?!? I think their criteria should have included things like: endurance for laser pointer shining, creating interesting obstacle courses to get to the design wall, and cat fabric acquisition. Then you might have stood a chance...

  2. We gave our mom extra points for recharging the quilts to be quilted pile. It’s soft and squishy now...and so tall. You guys are tough customers with your staff. Smitty & Sadie

  3. Coming from the wild, and Buddy having several personalities probably accounts for the decision. We know they can't be "right" in their heads. They should have considered where their room and board comes from, and don't forget love, treats, etc. Just ignore them. They probably were just trying to get your goat (I mean sheep, pigs and cows):-)

  5. Well, if I were quoting Bruce (and I guess I am), “ What do you expect? Cats only have two brain cells to rub together!” We, of course, know they have at least twice that many. But despair not because we, the adoring public, know you ARE the Employee of the Year. Tell Molly that Darla says if she doesn’t mend her ways, she’s going to have more staff turnover than the orange thing in the white house.

  6. I read your next post before this one. I would have been a whole lot less confused if I had read them in the order written...
