Here's the Legos quilt up on the design wall after I finished putting it together. Once I square it off it will be roughly 45 by 54 inches...a bit on the small side. Molly suggested I make it into a sack for storing legos. But she's just cranky that I pinned the quilt up carefully so she can't climb around under it.
Very nice! If you trim the top and bottom points off, there would be enough to fill in both sides to make it wider. Also a good way to practice sewing into and out of corners.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE the Legos quilt top! I’m happy to see there are other people that will sew fabric crumbs into a quilt. 😊
ReplyDeleteOh I love this sooo much! Scrappyhappiness!
ReplyDeleteMaybe that could be my 2024 rainbow scrap challenge inspiration?!?
Hmmm, my 1.5 inch bin is overflowing... And I wouldn't trim a thing. Just add settings triangles, like lime green. Make those Legos shake!
ReplyDeletePoor Molly - so much thwarting of her genius...
ReplyDeleteI really love that diagonal setting! Even I think lime green setting triangles would be great, and you know I always reach for orange or purple first!
Oh, I could not cut off all that lovely pieced lego blocks. I would have to add setting triangles to keep them all together. Love all the different pieces involved.
