The binding had a bit of a surprise for me: miter tricks. In the top layer shown above, you can see how the check pattern took advantage of the miter. This bit of luck brightened my mood while facing the mounds of sewing "March me" left for "April me" to finish. And I wondered, what did "March me" do all last month. I went to find out from her blog posts and there were only six of them! What's up with that? And yes, she also left an overgrown lawn for me to mow.
In any case, let's have the monthly fabric giveaway. To participate in the giveaway, just leave a comment (and email address if you are a no-reply blogger) telling me what fabric you would like. Buddy suggests blue or black depending on whether or not you will get to see the solar eclipse. Or pick a theme or request a rainbow.
On April 4, at 11:59 pm Pacific Standard Time, Molly will be causing her usual ruckus and will also use some kind of nonsense to pick the winner randomly. I will notify the winner by email the next day. I will also ask for your address and get more clarification about your fabric preferences.
Unfortunately, due to the high cost of international shipping, the giveaway is limited to the USA.
Previous winners may enter again and if you win again, you will know that either Molly or the universe likes you.
Oh, oh, oh….blacks sound like fun! We are a hour drive from full eclipse viewing. April You should be glad March You even gave her any consideration…..I mean March You got the fraying, adorable binding to do miter tricks, what more could you ask for, seriously?
ReplyDeleteI am in a definite "blue" mood here; my mojo has hopped away with the easter bunny i think...still cold and wintry feeling. I wonder if one day it will just get really "Hot" and that will be it....hugs, Julierose
ReplyDeleteNo eclipse for us - and it would be fun to find a package of small novelty prints for an upcoming "I spy" charity quilt. And you are drawing on the last minute of my birthday! Thanks for the chance. Sally
ReplyDeleteNo eclipse for me--I have to work, but if the weather is good I may get to see a partial. My husband will be traveling into the path so I will get lots of pictures from him. Blue or novelties for me. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteNo eclipse for me this year which doesn’t leave me in a blue or black mood. Maybe purple? Yes, definitely a purple mood and could use some purple scraps. Thanks for sharing! Jennybailey2303@gmail.com
ReplyDeleteI missed March You and looked for her frequently; glad to know she was getting ready to show her stuff, though. How about any brights you’d be willing to share? I make kids’ quilts for donation, so they’d fit right in. 😋👍🏻😻
ReplyDeleteOops-that was me, Nancy O. at fance06@gmail.com
ReplyDeleteNo eclipse for me. If I were the winner, I would request yellow/gold scraps. Actually, I love all scraps so any would be a winner for me. Thank you for the opportunity to enter the giveaway. Your projects are just beautiful!!!
ReplyDeleteHow did April sneak in. . . .ALREADY???? I'm with you on what happened to March. Although, I will be still in the hunt for novelty scraps, yellow or black would be nice additions if I were the winner. . . .Happy quilt turn in day! I'll miss working with you today!
ReplyDeleteLove your blog and can't wait to see how your quilts do at the quilt show. I would enjoy any scraps, but as it's a dreary day here, I'm thinking bright colors and neutrals.
ReplyDeleteGot any medical fabrics? Other professions or ocupations? If not any and all living things be they black and blue or not injured :-). I won't get to see a complete eclipse, but we are supposed to be able to see a partial eclipse.
ReplyDeleteThanks to Molly (and you) for offering a fabric give away. The rainbow scrap challenge color of the month, for April (yellow), or anything you're willing to send my way. I'm assuming the skies will be blue where I am on the day of the eclipse.
ReplyDeleteI will be in the path of totality, but since April here is not known for abundant sunshine, I fully expect it will be cloudy, making for a somewhat subdued experience. I would be delighted to receive some bright rainbow colors with a smattering of Kaffe or Tula or anyone else who makes bright, happy fabrics.

Multicolor on black. White on black. Black on white. Black and white and red all over.
ReplyDeleteI'm visiting my daughter in Vermont - the eclipse is basically going dead center right over her backyard. My other daughter & her family are going to come up for the long weekend, along with some friends, so we'll have quite the lovely totality party!
ReplyDeleteNo eclipse for me…it’ll probably be too cloudy to enjoy it. I’d love black/white or white/black or whatever Molly would like to share

Friends will be right under the eclipse in AR. Does that count, like in horseshoes? (I sure miss the trees, and green everywhere in SW AR! Hot Springs, not so much.) I could use some saturated Autumn colors, or any yellows or greens. Actually, anything that Miss Molly Cattitude wanted to push my way would get played with. Thank you for offering.

Random is my choice this month. Buddy can choose for me 🥰

The eclipse will be right over Buffalo, NY. I live near Niagara Falls, which is already declared a state of emergency because of expected crowds. If it is anything like the usual weather here, it will be cloudy. I am not going anywhere, just hunker down and sew. I love, love the bowties. Light, low volume neutrals to go with all my scraps is always a good addition. My blog is sorely lacking lately, have to get it up and running.
ReplyDeleteNo eclipse for me. I would love to but have an upcoming Hawaii trip so I feel really spoiled! I'd be totally into blues but knowing Molly likes me would be even better!
ReplyDeleteThanks!
Beth
Might see a bit of a partial here. I would love some pinks and yellows!
ReplyDeleteIf Molly should pick my name, send me whatever you'd like because I make mostly scrappy quilts.
ReplyDeleteI'm late to the party here but purple or blue scraps would be appreciated. We are traveling to near Cleveland for eclipse, but the weather isn't promising.
