The lions insist on having 12 lions for their musical extravaganza. And I fondly think back to the olden days when we just called it a quilt top. In any case, this is what a lion ear looks like during its infancy. Essentially a lion starts as a vintage spin block with two modified wedges for ears.
Then the wedges of the mane/vintage spin block are sewn into pairs. And that's about all I accomplished today. But I guess once the lion has his ears, he will think I accomplished a lot. And in case you don't know what I'm talking about, you can see some lions here.

You are a riot! I stop in every day, I just realized, to hear what your quilt blocks have to say.........What does that say about me?
Yeah, I visit every day to see what's up in the Wild Kingdom, too. Love the lions. And the fish. And the bunnies. And the owls. Ah, the owls...
