Finally! The darting fish quilt top is assembled. The darting fish were rainbow blocks from the Rainbow Scrappy Challenge of 2015. I still need to figure out a border for it. However, I have very little of the background fabric so my options are somewhat limited.
As you can see, as I was taking the picture of the quilt top, Molly was protecting me from marauding predators, that is, her brother Buddy.
Rainbow trout! I'm sure you'll find the perfect border.
ReplyDeleteI think this is my favorite of your rainbow quilts so far!
ReplyDeleteLooks great as is, perhaps you could just use a scrappy rainbow binding and finish it without a border? That is assuming it is already the right size. :)
ReplyDeleteI second Sue, a bright binding would look good.
ReplyDeleteWonderful! Is it big enough without a border? I second the idea of just going with a bright rainbow border.
ReplyDeleteIt’s darling! Darla and Alfie think you should add a cat border to keep the fish in check.
ReplyDeleteAh, but there's a quilt block sneaking up on Molly. I can almost hear the theme from Jaws...
ReplyDeleteWhat a great 'rainbow' quilt! Can't wait to see it finished!
ReplyDeleteMakes sense to me--fish don't have borders afterall lol...lovely piece...like scuba diving....hugs, Julierose
ReplyDeleteI must have been living under a rock if I have not seen your FANTASTIS quitl blocks so far. I am adding this to my blogroll right now because I do not want to miss any of your fabulous posts in the future - whether they look like pigs, sea horses or dating fish. Your work is amazing. Where have I been???
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Preeti.
Does it need one? Looks great as is to me. Thanks for linking up to #scraptastictuesday
