But first let me tell you about the many challenges I have overcome and my continuing hardship. At three months, I enrolled at Kitten U (where they make cats of the future great again). At the time we were Team Storm and my name was Hurricane, my brother was Typhoon and my sister was Cyclone. Before that I had been a free-range kitten (and please stop using that nasty term feral as if you don't deserve that hiss, bite and scratch).
Although he spent too much time hiding in a box, my brother Typhoon showed a great deal of promise.
I think he aspired to be Feline Turbo-roller Champion.
At five months, I had already taken over as dean at Kitten U. It had become obvious to me that it was merely a room full of cat toys. Here I am showing my brother how to take selfies so he can be part of the feline domination of the Internet.
Obviously, his development was taking an ugly turn.
First, Typhoon failed his adoption at the shelter because he was too scared. And more recently, he has decided to be a dog. He comes when he's called, he thinks about food 24/7 and most unforgivably, likes to chase cats.
I try to keep an open mind, but yeech, he gives licks like a dog. And just to confirm everyone's suspicions, he was renamed Buddy although he responds much quicker to "Treat."
So here is my submission for "Dog on a Quilt." Personally, I don't think dogs should be allowed on the bed, let alone in the house especially when feline hygiene is at stake.
Meanwhile, I'm responsible for everything in the house, but especially the sewing room. Here I am completing my inventory of the flat fold purples.
Here I am accounting for all of the 1.5 inch strips.
And here I am carefully selecting batiks for Sadie McWormypants as a special request from Smitty at Three Cat Ranch.
I also supervise all activity on the ironing board.
My biggest challenge, however, is keeping the design wall clear.
Some of the blocks are placed quite high, but I never shirk from the task.
For quilt tops and quilts pinned to the design wall, I suggest the underneath climb.
I also supervise all hand and machine quilting. So obviously, with all of my responsibilities, I really don't have time to lounge around on a quilt.
And if for some reason you prefer quilts to cats, here's a kitten quilt. Please note that the border was made from kitten ears. Gross!
Finally, if you still aren't satisfied, please head back to lilypadquilting's Pets on Quilts 2016. While you're there, give them a hearty thank you for sponsoring this event.

What a fun post. Molly is certainly beautiful and smart. Definitely a great helper for quilting, highly skilled at fabric selection, piecing, and comfort/quality testing. :)

Molly, you are the hardest worker I've ever seen! Unlike that dog, Buddy...
Perhaps you could offer some tips to my cat, Lynx, who thinks that rolling and pouncing are enough helping when I'm trying to baste a quilt.
Wow Molly, I don't know how you find time to sleep with all that work! I especially like how you search around for the pesky wrinkles in the batting, they really can be irritating when quilting. I'm not sure what to think about your brother turning into a dog, but I hope it's not contagious! Thank you for sharing the kitten quilt, it's very pretty (even if it has a border of ears...)

Well Molly, I have had a so and so of a morning so coming home to read your post was just what the doctor ordered!!! Sally T must be so pleased to have you in charge of things at your place, especially keeping the design wall clear. You are very gracious to enter Buddy for Dog on a Quilt - and I do love the kitten quilt, just purrrfect!!
Very funny post....lots of sweet images!

Link to Lilypadsquilting didn't work.
Molly, we will be forever in your debt. Please do not send any strongmen to collect.
Thanks. I fixed it.
Molly, What a great post, you are a wonderful supervisor in the sewing room. Your person is lucky to have you and your brother. TFS!
Oh she is a fun little one isn't she!! (Makes me want to get a kitty again.) LOL!!
Oh Molly!!! You make my heart to pitter-patter! You are such a beautiful girl - the most beautiful I've ever seen!!! And a Quilter Kitty too - wow! I am amazed at all of your responsibilities in your mom's studio. I can see that I am going to have to start stalking you so I can learn how to be the best Quilter Kitty I can be for my mom too! I have already learned from you that I apparently spend way too much time lounging around on quilts when I should be busy working. My mom has a lot of fabric, so I have to run now so I can start inventorying all of it! Hugs & Sniffs, Rocky ❤️😻❤️
Molly, you are beautiful and a hard worker! Lovely quilt with the kitties on it. Great idea with the ears!
What sweet kitties! I am going to be making a design wall, thanks for the warning about cats climbing them!
Molly, you are one busy lady. I'm not sure how you get everything done. What ever your secret is, keep it up. I'm sure your quilty owner appreciates all that you do.
Bravo!!! Molly, you are the best blogger around! Love your athletic ability to climb mom's design wall... she must really be impressed with that!! P.S. Love the selfies!
Very funny...what a pretty creature...really amazing face. Love your cat quilt too.
Molly, you are very sweet and oh so helpful.
What a wonderful kitty and so hard-working! Love those sweet photos....thanks for partying with us!

Well, what a super helper you are. My Bella could give you some pointers on how to reach those high blocks. You need Auntie Barb to make you a pawtrait.
Molly, not only are you beautiful but you're such a hard worker. Your brother will never be able to keep up with you so maybe just accept him as a dog, they can be fun sometimes.
Great photos and so adorable!!!
Oh, I smiled all the way through, love your words that fit every photo perfectly.
Molly you could be a comic cat with the way you deliver lines. Sally, I loved this post - Thank you for the laughs!
What a great post by Molly, the animals are better at blogging than the humans!!! Hugs, Susie x
I am glad to see such an ambitious quilting "helper"
What a (cough) useful kitty, and an adorable quilt! :)
Well NOW I (and Bella, too) get your comment about 'too cute to be real' lol. The tone is just perfect feline badass snob. I think Bella and Molly would get along ...nope not just fine, each is too busy with all parts of the quilt process (though Bella has yet to master the design wall challenge, and I'm not sure if Molly has mastered Bananasana on quilt pose yet)... Terrific post, and scanning back through your posts (why take the easy route and find you in the Parade?!) I see her help over and over...btw love your owls! HOW did she ever let you do a poodle block?
