This is an orange speedy chicken that is incredibly slow. I did get the fabric cut...on my cutting table. Yeah. This is the cutting table whose leg went on a two month journey across the U.S. twice. Then I discovered the washer was irrevocably stuck on the hanger bolt (for attaching the leg). So I had to find a replacement attachment...but today it came back alive with all four legs.
I also set up the ironing board although I'm not too sure where the iron is.

Molly, on the other hand, completed her task of selecting fabric for the next giveaway. These are fabrics that were unpacked today...but not necessarily from the same box. Molly chose the theme...Tropical with Cats. There are some butterflies and fish to keep the cats entertained.
If you would like a chance to win a fat quarter of each of these fabrics, please leave a comment and in a week Molly will announce the random winner from those of you who left a comment. If you would like a topic for your comment, Molly suggests that you explain why puppies are so morally bankrupt. She looks forward to your answers.
Now this is an interesting pick Molly! Oh, Molly - you know you would miss your puppy/pony buddy.
ReplyDeleteDearest Molly .. what a lovely array of fabrics. However, puppies are a necessity, just to keep your life interesting!
ReplyDeleteLoving these tropicals Molly - and puppies are just as important as kitties, or perhaps, as you may think, a little less important!
ReplyDeleteMolly does have great taste in fabric. Clearly, puppies do not share this trait, which is why cats (ie: Molly) are morally superior. Also, puppies beg for treats and don't show the proper disdain for staff.
ReplyDeleteTropical with cats! Well Molly is too clever:) I just love your quilt blocks, you're always sewing something fun. emilyste7ens at gmail dot com
ReplyDeleteWell, Molly, puppies need instruction so they send them to cats to learn. However they can sometimes be poor students, so it's an ongoing project for you. And yes, I do love your fabric choices! Pick me Pick me!
ReplyDeleteThanks for responding to my last message, re dog hair. It has been noted.
ReplyDeletePuppies are cute, but they have no self-esteem! Have you ever seen a puppy be regal? No, you haven't. They are just slobbering, floppy bundles of "love me, love me, love me"......
ReplyDeleteThanks for the Giveaway. Tell Molly I much prefer cats to puppies!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful fabrics! Puppies are not discerning the way cats and kittens are. They will go to anyone. Someone has to be worthy before a feline will deign to be in their company. Unless the person is staff. Anyone with food is acceptable. Or a design wall.
ReplyDeleteThat's going to be another great chicken, even if he is a little slow.
ReplyDeleteAnother wonderful set of fabrics Molly. Will you be allowing Buddy to choose a set, too?
Puppies are adorable, but definitely are not as refined a kittens are. Sorry, Molly, I can't hate puppies completely.
Puppies are too eager to please and will do anything for a "good booooy".
ReplyDeleteI'll do anything for a good piece of fabric so am both morally and financially bankrupt.
Puppies want love at all cost while kittens demand respect first.
ReplyDeleteLove those colors and Laurel Burch cats. Puppies just want to be loved and staff need to feel wanted. Cats already know they are superior and don't need slavish attention.
ReplyDeletePat
The chickens are clucking right along. Puppies make too much noise, thus interrupting Molly naps. Poor, Molly! About that fabric pick, I see she was in a purple mood. Purrfect!!
ReplyDeleteSmitty and Sadie know why puppies are morally bankrupt: Puppies do poopies.
ReplyDeleteI am amazed that you get so much done while moving and unpacking and moving and unpacking. Molly has good taste. kthurn(at)bektel.com
ReplyDeleteMolly really knows how to pick fabrics. Puppies always have to go outside thus disturbing sewing time.
ReplyDeleteMolly, please choose me. I would love the Laurel Burch cats! Thanks for the opportunity to enter the giveaway. (shirparks@gmail.com)
ReplyDeletePuppies just think and behave way different then cats do. 24Tangent@gmail.com
ReplyDeleteSo sorry to hear of your table troubles. Hopefully Molly kept you busy while you waited. Hope the iron shows up soon. Hard to make good quilting progress without that essential tool.
ReplyDeleteMolly has good taste. There is some pretty fabric there. dorthac at aol.com
ReplyDeleteLove that Laurel Burch cat fabric! Sorry, Molly but not all puppies (including yours) are morally bankrupt. Of course, that might kick me out of the fabric drawing, so I will close by saying that Molly is, um.... beautiful, smart and talented. :-)
ReplyDeleteThe orange speedy chicken is going to look fantastic. I can see the chicken already with just the pieces laid out. Puppies just aren't as smart as cats. When the doorbell rings a puppy will run to it even though it's not for them. Happy sewing! Andrea
ReplyDeleteMolly certainly has good taste in fabric! Puppies are morally bankrupt because they are eager to please, not like cats who are eager to be pleased. Thanks!
ReplyDeletePlease click on the delaineelliott above for my email link.
Molly, once again you have picked wonderful combinations. Me-new started purring loudly in approval.
ReplyDeleteLove the purples and the kitty fabric. All my Samson wants to do is lay in my fabric. He thinks I pull the scraps out just for him.

All dogs are morally bankrupt--they go around sniffing each others behinds.
ReplyDeleteSo busy it's very hard to keep up with that earn cat....

All McGee wants to do is eat my fabric, and it that is not morally bankrupt, I don't know what is! Why just this afternoon he was running around the house with a quilt with binding clips still on it! Such a bad dog.
ReplyDeletePuppies are morally bankrupt because they can be easily bribed with food, just like dogs! And they are not at all particular about what the food is, though cat food is a real treat.
ReplyDeleteWhat lovely choices of fabric, Molly. As to those puppies, who really knows. It's obvious Cats Reign so no need to worry about them.
ReplyDeleteA very artful fabric assortment Molly! Puppies would never be so discerning.
ReplyDeleteThey know it all. That's why.
ReplyDeletegreat mix of florals - way to go Molly
