Our area has a ice storm warning that admittedly makes me a tad anxious. My neighborhood is prone to power outages and a few years back all the trees in my back yard decided to hug the house. And there are lots of predictions and suggestions for how best to prepare. Oddly, I have not seen anyone prepare as thoroughly as Molly. Here she is sticking one leg out of her heated bed to gradually become acclimated to suboptimal sleeping temperatures.

I hope the ice storm does not materialize or is, at least, minimal. It looks like Molly will be ready if it does come. Wouldn't it be great if we could all prepare like Molly!
Pedaeration! Clever girl, that Molly.

Hopefully that prediction won't come to pass!! Molly's got the right idea--get yourself all nice and warmed up--just in case...

She is a hoot. I can't imagine how put out the kitties would be with a power outage. We have snow and wind, but my area is not as hard hit as the areas that are getting the Lake Effect snow bands off Lake Erie.
I've been lucky so far as we have power and my sewing room is on the third floor where the heat rises. The cats are unamused that we can't take our daily excursion into the backyard, though.
Ahhh, you made me chuckle describing Molly! We had rain for two days and my two were quite put out that they couldn't go outside.
That's Molly - always ready for any situation!
I hope the ice storm goes easy on your neighborhood. Y'all need a break!
From experience I can say that Molly has the right idea - stick a foot out to test the temperature before leaping out of bed........It's very cold here at present but I count myself grateful it's not like parts of the USA - take care to keep warm my friends. Elaine in UK
