Today's giveaway is tropical fabric...which is where many of us have our hearts and minds.
And in a bit of irony, today's winner, Shirley E, lives in Virginia. So this set of fat quarters is going to take a trip back to Virginia. Looking at the fabric, however, I notice that a lot of it is Alexander Henry and other California fabrics that I would have gotten when I lived in Southern California. This is well traveled fabric.
Meanwhile, I HAVE to show something orange in support of September and the Rainbow Scrappy Challenge. However, today I spent most of the day unpacking. I got a lot done, but I thought I should be able to squeeze in a single orange block. Nope. It didn't happen.
So, here are some orange blocks from years past. And speaking of kittens, both Buddy and Molly have been very busy today. They are having their own emergency that has put them on high alert all last evening and then again today.
Last week, we had visits from the ugliest cat on the planet (UCP), although these visits escaped Buddy and Molly's radar. This cat, however, is quite provocative and have Buddy the Growler and Molly the Pacer on high alert.

Batik giveaway
Batiks are the fabric selection for this last giveaway. Buddy was going to make the selection but I thought even the most fervent Buddy supporters would not be interested in ten taupe batiks.
Molly scolded me for saving the best for myself. That is, the batiks were packed in a bag and a box...and she thinks the bag and box are much better than all the lousy fabric. She wants to also offer opportunities to win plastic bags and beat-up cardboard boxes.
However, this is a FABRIC giveaway, so if you leave a comment, in a week, Molly will select a random winner of ten batik fat quarters. Feel free to voice your preference for a plastic bag and box versus fabric in your comment. But sorry, regardless of your preference, the winner receives the ten batik fat quarters.

Happy Fabric
Today we are reversing trend and picking happy fabric. Staff made the first selection: party headphones, bright yellow, butterflies, balloons and floating cat heads.
So Molly picked party fish, party paws, party cats and yummy prey. Buddy picked cats eating prey and cats playing. (Yes, those look like pandas to me too, but some discussions are not worth having and they do look a bit like Buddy.)
This is the second to last fabric giveaway where I am selecting fabric as I unpack from my move across the country. Some of the fabric was used as packing material and some of it was just packed. In any case, if you would like to win a fat quarter of each of these fabrics, leave a comment and Molly will pick a random winner one week from now.
Molly would like to know which you prefer to serve for a party: mice, birds, bats or fish.

Ashen birds and More Orange
Today was also full of drama. Molly picked these ashen birds, the color of Portland sky, for her selection. She does not like closed windows.
I suggested that maybe the selection should be useful to quilters rather a way for her to vent. Molly then told Buddy to pick nine fabrics to take with him for his forced evacuation. Buddy started collecting his mouse toys instead and bringing them to my lap. Molly insisted that only Buddy was being evacuated so then he wouldn't leave my lap. This was not how I planned to spend my evening. Without the cat's "help", I decided to pick fabrics based on the ones in boxes I opened today. So voila...more orange.
Happily, one of the boxes included Molly's crunchy tunnel and Buddy's tiered roller balls. Given they are easily distracted, we are having a calmer evening.
As usual, if you would like to win a collection of fat quarters with these fabrics, leave a comment and Molly will pick a random winner in a week. I would suggest you leave a comment about your favorite toy.

Seeing Red
Oh dear. First, let me start by saying how sorry I am about the selection of fabrics today. However, Molly is seeing red. Among other things, a new wild fire was started in Oregon...with fireworks. Needless to say, Molly does not like fireworks.
Here is the red fabric. And yes, the one with white and turquoise depicts a tsunami. I told Molly to please pick another color.
So here is her offer of three gray fabrics, and I wouldn't dare say anything bad about gray given its the color of sky and remnants of wild fire.
Molly did agree to add some novelty prints so she went with black and white cats, giraffes, sheep and sharks attacking surfboards.
If you are interested in a rather angry selection of fat quarters, please leave a comment and Molly will pick a winner in a week. No need to try and cheer her up...that's what Buddy is for. She might be interested in what quilt pattern you might use for tsunamis and shark attacks, though.

Green/Beige Fabric Giveaway
Today's offering comes from a single box labeled green/beige. This drawing will feature fat quarters of five beige fabrics and five green fabrics. And yes, one of the greens didn't make it into the photo.
The winner will be selected a week from today--picked randomly from comments left on this post.
And you may leave any comment you like because Molly is too busy to read them. She has discovered the entrance to the crawl space and she has been spending the day leading me to the door and then begging/demanding/cajoling me to open the crawl space door so she can explore. I am pretending to not understand cat.
