I just found out that Mary Ellen Hopkins passed away on July 9th. Here she is standing in front of a quilt that
Cassandra Tondro made back when we "worked" at Crazy Ladies and Friends. I think this goes back to three days after rotary cutters were invented.

I still have that quilt, and it's my favorite. Mary Ellen was a huge influence in my life. And of course her store is where I met you, and I clearly remember our first Saturday working there together. I'll bet she made a big impression on a lot of people. She was quite a character!
