I have the first part of the machine quilting finished on the plaid bunny quilt. In this case, I just quilted the main grid over the quilt top and the wool batting. Next I take out the pins and then add the backing layer.
And, of course, my every move was carefully supervised.
And here is a gratuitous photo of Typhoon who looks angelic here, but helped Molly use the layered quilt as a play fort and wrestling castle.

Awwww... Typhoon is such a cutie, too. That quilt sure looks cuddly enough for a human to sleep on, which of course is blasphemous....
The bunnies are looking very happy!
Your plaid bunnies are sew cute. Curious as to why you do a two step quilting process.
I'm curious about the two step quilting process too. Teach us something new.
Cats and their so-helpful temporary basting claws. What would we do without them? Or more important, what do they think we would do without them?
(Love love love the plaid bunnies!!!)
Molly keeps Typhoon busy in KU.
Oh to be a cat in the care of a responsible pet owner! What a life!
