One final check of the fabric giveaway prizes and we can now announce the winners:
Congratulations To:
Kaffe jellyroll: Julie in GA
Kaffe charm: Nancy A
Kaffe charm Charlene S
Purple fat quarters: Delaine
Rainbow dessert roll: Cathy of Sane, Crazy, Crumby Quilting
Rainbow jellyroll: Mystic Quilter
Rainbow charm: Kim
Rainbow charm: KaliaContiki
Novelty fat quarters: PattyA
Mini-charms: Sophie
I-spy: Barbara
Batik Jellyroll: Deb A
Almost all of the winners have received an email from staff. There is only one problem and that is that Kim, who won a rainbow charm, is a no-reply blogger. So if you would like to claim your prize, please contact staff.
And there seems to be a misunderstanding. Molly thought that staff was cutting the fabric that she was going to keep and she was going to give the rest away.
So Molly is quite disappointed that all she got from her efforts was a tiny bit of room to turn around. Nor was she mollified (yuk, yuk) by her new cat tunnels. Let's see what she thinks when I fill them with fabric.

Purple seahorses and final fabric giveaway
Here is a parade of seahorses who are swimming off to join the muted purple party at the Rainbow Scrappy Challenge.
And here are the new seahorses meeting the purple seahorses I made earlier in the year. The new seahorses are too polite to mention the blocky tails. But we know what they're thinking.
EXCUSE ME! I'm Molly and I'm interrupting this blog post to continue my week long fabric giveaway. Today is the last day. And today's offering is a batik jellyroll (also known as forty 2.5 inch strips). I am also working on a full body MEOW to replace my earlier squeak.
If you would like a chance at winning the batik jellyroll, please leave a comment or MEOW in the comment section. And please note that this week's drawings are closing at the end of the day. Of course, you can still comment, but you won't be included in the drawings.
And staff is also requesting that I mention that she will post a tutorial for the seahorse on Monday. And let me tell you, there is nothing more fun than running up the design wall when there are lots of little pieces to scatter. But remember to wear earplugs or you might hear language unsuitable for kitten ears.

Personality Inventory
Here I am practicing a sleeping pose in preparation for the Pets on Quilt Competition. I will confess that being overloaded with personality does tucker me out. And speaking of personality, today is Psychopathology Day for our week long fabric giveaway. As a reminder, I'm going to draw winners from the list of comments posted through August 6 and will post the winners on August 7.
Today's first prize is 800 mini-charms, that is, 2.5 inch squares. Let's just say that, in theory, there are no repeats and there are 800 of them. But I'm skeptical given that staff gave the accounting task to Buddy.
Would you hire this puppy as your accountant? He did roll all over them and make a mess. I had to upend a box of safety pins just to bring the attention back to me. And as you'll notice, Buddy still doesn't know how to take a good selfie.
As you might remember, back in 2011, staff completed a postage stamp charm quilt, and she still remains a bit obsessive about collecting fabric charms. Of course, I should also mention that there is a limit to keeping track of individual fabric patterns, and we have since found repeats in this quilt. One fabric was repeated three times! (P.S. Postage stamps finish at 1 inch square and a charm quilt means no repeats of the same fabric.)
Second prize is a package of 120 i-spy charms cut to 3.5 inch squares. Staff is working on another tilted I-spy charm quilt (instructions are in the tutorial section). So please leave a comment if you would like a chance to win either the mini-charms or the I-spy squares. If you want to leave a message hinting at your own personal psychopathology, I promise not to give you any advice. But instead you may just want to mention again how adorable I am.
Yeah...so staff said I had to include a photo of Buddy sleeping too. Boring!

Novelty Fabric
I am SO disappointed. The answer to yesterday's pop quiz was Molly. No other answer was acceptable. And only one reader caught on that Buddy the dog would not be capable of posting a coherent post...so yes, it was me, pretending to be Buddy. At least, dear Fabadashery was suspicious.
As your punishment, today's draw is for 12 fat quarters of novelty fabric. Warning: some of the fabric may contain pigs and/or monkeys. If you are interested in participating in the drawing, please leave a comment. Of course, at this point it doesn't matter what you write because nothing will erase my bitter disappointment.

Dear Jane A8, J12 and more fabric
Hi. I'm Buddy. I get to host the fabric giveaway today. I'm so happy to join in the fun because there have been so many nice comments from such thoughtful people. It's such a treat...did someone say TREAT! WHERE? WHERE? GIMME. ME NOW! TREAT!
And look what I found on the floor. It's Dear Jane block A8 or Florence Nightingale. Staff was trying to take a picture of this when a cat climbed up the design wall and knocked them down.
This block was lying next to it. It's Dear Jane block J12 or Rebecca's Basket.
And this is the cat that caused the disruption. She's my favorite toy. I like to chase her. And sometimes when I bite her she makes a noise like a squeak toy. Fun!
And look. Here's the fabric for today's giveaway. There are forty different fabrics and four chances to win. First place is a set of five inch strips. Second place is a jellyroll or 2.5 inch strips. And then there are two 5 inch square charm packs. If you would like to be included in the drawing, just leave a comment explaining why you prefer dogs to cats. Or vice versa. Whatever that means.

Day Two Birthday Bash
Today is Day Two of My Fabric Giveaway Birthday Week (MFGBW). First, as many of you already know, August is a dusty purple month with green overtones over at the Rainbow Scrappy Challenge. So today I am giving away twelve fat quarters of dusty purple, some with green overtones. If you would like a chance to win the drawing, just leave a comment noting that gray is always a better fashion choice than purple or how cute I am or whatever.
Once again, staff insists I show a boring photo without cats. Don't blame me.
And now I would like to clarify some obvious misunderstandings...especially the one where people think Buddy the Dog is my brother. Wrong! Please note my obvious feline pose. This is me at three and a half months.

This is a photo of Buddy the puppy taken on the same day. This is a dog's pose.
And here is a photo of Buddy the puppy cluelessly staring at a scratching post.
Here is Buddy the puppy, again, in a dog's pose.
But if you can't believe your eyes, there is plenty of other doggy evidence. For example, he comes when staff calls him. He goes crazy if staff says "treat" and he'll do anything for food. He makes a whiny sound and his meow sounds exactly like the noise a dog would make if they were pretending to meow. Plus he's a lap dog and wants to be with staff all the time. Disgusting. And the worst offense is that Buddy chases cats. And, of course, the most obvious evidence is that he has a dog's name...Buddy.
Here is a picture of me (a free range kitten) with three clueless rescue kittens and a stupid puppy. Just because you are trapped on the same day does not mean you share a birthday with your fellow prisoners.
From the photo, you can also see that I am obviously the only one that doesn't belong crammed in a cardboard box. You can see me considering the amount of my litigation reward for pain and suffering. Please also note that I am the only one without that weird alien laser eye affliction.

Happy Birthday to Me
It's my first birthday and time to consider what I have accomplished in my first year on earth. As many of you know, I was a free range kitten that was accidentally swept up in some weird feral cat ring. Once I hissed, I mean explained myself, I began my reign at Kitten U. Currently, we have one staff member and a dog named Buddy. There are constant solicitations for entrants to Kitten U, but none of them meet my stringent criteria.
As you may know, in honor of my birthday, I am getting rid of some of this excess fabric so I can have more room to work. Today is Kaffe Collective day and there are three items on offer: a Kaffe Collective JellyRoll (forty 2.5 inch strips) and two Kaffe Collective Charm Packs (forty 5 inch squares). These were selected by me and cut by staff with my help.
I am only including this photo to humor staff.
If you think you would like one of these, please leave me a birthday greeting in the comments section. The first pick gets the jelly roll and the two runners up get the charm packs. And everyone should also feel welcome to see what is on offer tomorrow. The winner will be selected and notified on Sunday, August 7.
This is the new cat tunnel I requested for my birthday. I am pretending to be shy and am going to ignore it for a week or so. My dog Buddy is not allowed in my tunnel. If he is a good boy, I might have staff give him a stick.
