If one goes looking among soothing sea colors, one is apt to come across a soothing slow fish.
Slow fish would like me to assure you that he is slow in speed, but not of mind. He and his friends have long, deep discussions about sea currents. They suggest you visit the Rainbow Scrappy Challenge for more fascinating sea colors.
Meanwhile, I made the obvious choice for the peacock quilt back.

What a perfect backing fabric. I love it when that happens! Such great color for the fish. They blend right in.
Those fish look like they are in the Caribbean! Lucky fish. Great blocks.
Such an amazing collection of batiks you have!! Nice job on your TEAL blocks.
Great fish and perfect backing, way to go!
smooth as sea glass
I love your slow fish! I would love to hear their thoughts on sea currents.
Your fish probably are most at home in clear tropical lagoons where they can meditate and cogitate, leaving those aggressive fish to fight it out in the treacherous deep waters. The peacock is so perfect, naturally.
Beautiful fish! They would blend right into whatever current they decided to swim in.
Very cute fish. Looking forward to seeing a colorful quilty sea full of them. Where can I find the pattern? Karen @ Tu-Na Quilts, Travels, and Eats https://tunaquilts.wordpress.com/
Are these slow fish bigger than the darting fish? Is that what makes them slow? I can just hear their deep voices as they discuss ponderous fish issues...
Cute fish. Love the fabric choices.
