This morning I was visiting
Vireya's blog and saw a photo of her visitor. From this side of the world, the thought of looking outside and seeing a kangaroo is just a dream or maybe something for the bucket list. In any case, I couldn't resist having a kangaroo of my own. The block is based on a .75 inch grid and finishes at 12 inches square. Based on a one inch grid, it would finish at 16 inches square.

I'd like to look outside and see a kangaroo, too. Though he'd have to be wearing snowshoes at this time of year...
The big question is - will Molly let him stay?
So cute!
Thanks for visiting my blog! I have to say that you have created a very cute kangaroo. And I'm impressed how quickly you did it!
He/she's a cutie, especially love the face!!
Applaud your efforts creating patterns from scratch, especially for animals that you are not familiar with, but for that reason I have to let you know that Kangaroo tails do not bend back inwards at the top and have much smaller ears. But on the whole you have nailed it, the ear shape is perfect, as is the face and front and back legs. We had a wallaby (smaller and darker then kangaroos) in our yard last summer looking for water when it was super hot and I did see a koala trying to cross a four lane highway last week! Molly would not like either - guaranteed!
