En Provence Step 3

Here we are at Step 3 of Bonnie Hunter's En Provence mystery challenge. I'm changing the colors a bit, so magenta is gold and purple is green. I'm still a bit concerned that my gold is not dark enough, but we'll just have to see.

Here are the stacks of green four patches. I needed to make 84 of them, but I went a bit overboard.

Here's Molly to supervise quality control.

And here is Molly doing her job...spinning the seams.

And along the way I made a few more delectable mountains.

I had no help from Suzi, I had to spin all my own seams. Loving the OOD colour scheme.

I really like your gold and the fact that it isn't a huge contrast from your background fabrics. I think it might change what units/blocks are highlighted in your quilt vs. other quilts.

Will Molly teach me to spin seams? If I didn`t have so many Christmas quilts to finish, I would love to participate in Bonnie’s En Provence mystery. I even had all the fabric pulled (except magenta; I would’ve done what you did). I thought she started in January last time instead of December. Oh well, there is always next year.

I love your colors, and on my computer screen the gold stands out. Neither of my kitties wanted to help spin the seams, so it took me forever to do them myself. Just finished clue #1 and will start #2 tonight after work

I too love these colours Sally and I'm seconding Dorothy the gold definitely stands out. I think it's a beautiful summery and happy block and I'm looking forward to seeing more!

Interesting layout. This is my first time around on a BH mystery. It's looking like this is what the repeat mystery quilters do. Loving it!

Can I borrow Molly to spin my seams, too? I know that someday I'll be happy to have them all spun, but oh.my.word.my.eyes.glaze.and.my.brain.softens as I do them now.
I adore those plaid mountains!
