No Fooling Spooling with Giveaway

Clearing off the sewing table uncovered the microspool project. I have a couple of boxes of cut and stacked spools, so I made up a handful. These may come in handy if any children stop by for a trick.

The treats are reserved for the "free table" giveaway where you can leave a comment to this post telling me what type of pile of scraps you might like to win. Two or three random winners are picked from the comment section (excluding international (not reached by USPS) and no-reply bloggers with no email address provided). I then pull a selection out of my stash based on what you are looking for: novelties, neutrals, chartreuse, cats and/or birds or even fabric to fill out a color for the new Bonnie Hunter mystery.

And by the way, this giveaway is a lot of fun for me. It has me interacting with my stash in a very different way and I am often surprised by what I find.

Meanwhile musical chairs/bedding continues in the sewing room. Gayle of Mangofeet thought we were following the usual rules of one chair per butt...but in the sewing room its really more of a competitive sport. Here is Molly in her new heated bed--a smaller version--that I bought for her after Buddy took over her large heated bed.

Here is Buddy taking over Molly's smaller bed because...well, just because.

I'm going to be looking through rose colored glasses soon and dig into some rose themed scraps so everything will be coming up roses here soon. Any rose scraps would be a welcome addition to the garden.

And novelties and neutrals are always welcome.

I would be delighted with blue/green scraps but would be perfectly happy with taupe!tan/cream/dark brown scraps too. We visited the zoo yesterday and the Wild Samoli A$$’s were active....their colors echo Buddy and Molly’s.

I would love some 30’s scraps. So nice of you to do this. dorthac at aol.com. Goggle wouldn’t let me use my google account.

I'm passing on the give away as my house is full of the 'estate' items and I am overwhelmed, but I can relate to the musical chairs. With the cold weather we've had lately, it seems like every spot is checked out for it's nap-ability.

So, how many microscopes are you planning to make for an eventual quilt? Do you need any micro-scraps?
Ive been accumulating black and white fabrics for a triangle quilt and hoping to throw in some multicolored polka-dot triangles here and there for a tad more interest. So polka-dot or neutral fabrics are always on my list.

I'm always on the hunt for novelties and neutrals.

Molly is a victim of her own good taste - obviously whatever Molly has must be the best because she wouldn't settle for less. Buddy is just trying to live up to her high standards...
And I definitely could use some blue these days!

I was thinking about doing Bonnie Hunter’s mystery quilt, but I have very few golds and grays. I can always use neutrals too.

I love scraps! Bright colors, neutrals, batiks, and novelties are particular favorites.

Sometimes sleep/rest comes more easily when sleeping in a new spot, as Buddy will agree! If I had a new spot for myself last night, I would have taken it...insomnia was in high gear.
My low-volume stash is getting low, so I'd love to increase the variety I have to choose from. Whites, neutrals, with specks of color or design are always welcome here. Happy November!

Because I don't have any excitement in my life, I could use some multi-colored scraps in wild designs or black/white prints. I could also use a heated bed, but probably wouldn't fit in one of Molly's discards.

Pink's are always my favourite but I find myself in need of blues, particularly dark blues. Thanks! Bethastrand@gmail.com

Always looking of novelty fabric! Thanks for the chance to win some.

I like to make I Spy quilts for the kids at the shelter so those types are great. If not those then we do a lot of strip quilts for the ladies so any strips, any sizes are wonderful. We just have a big table and everyone grabs from it.

I'd love any fabric with cats or fish, or even catfish. My rainbow scrap challenge quilt each month included a fish fabric every month, except in September and October (red and yellow). Thanks for offering this opportunity.

I'd love some 30's fabrics and feedback type prints. I would also take Molly and Buddy! Thanks for giveaway.

I would love some true green. Not leaning into turquoise, and not olive. Love your blog, but want to see more creatures - pigs, geckos, etc - loved those!

So are there now more seats than butts in the sewing room? What is the bed to chair to butt ratio? Enquiring minds want to know. ;-)

I won red and neutral strings last month so I will let someone else have a chance at the fun. Now I am thinking about getting a heated cat bed for my 10 yo puss. Hmmmmm.

I am hoping to try Bonnies Grassy Creek Mystery and I just ordered the Gnome table runner from Annies. I am now gathering greys, if that suits you. And thank you so much for inviting us to make a wish with you.

I had made my guild friends promise not to let me start Bonnie's mystery this year. However, I am loving her color choices, and my friends are enablers, so it looks like I am making a trip to the paint store this evening for some color chips! I know I will definitely be needing some Parakeet (yellow green), and could probably use some neutrals and grays. Loved the pictures of Molly and Buddy. They are such beautiful cats! bentley.christi@gmail.com

Molly looks so comfy in her new bed! I would love some blues and/or 30's scraps. Thanks for sharing!

I won fabric in your last giveaway (which I love). Can I request a cat in this giveaway?

There were no trick or treaters at our house this year so I couldn't offer tricks or treats. Thank you for your kind offer. Neutrals would be lovely. I love to see pictures of your kitties. After our sweet Petunia died, my allergist told me not to adopt another cat. I don't miss the allergy symptoms, but I do miss having a feline friend.

I gave away my tub of novelties to a group that made masks for a care facility. So, novelties of any kind are appreciated! So happy that Molly vacates her bed so interloper Buddy can add his fur to the mix. Perhaps it is a ploy so she can have the bigger bed...

I have yet to get either Alfie or Darla to step into, much less sleep in their new heated bed. They much prefer the laps of staff.
