Fabric Giveaway Among Other Things

I found my sewing machine and even remembered how to use it. It was quite a dangerous activity because I had to move Miss Molly Kitten from her sewing chair.

And while I may not be sewing as much, I still have lots of fabric. And here it is the beginning of the month, a good time for a fabric giveaway. I'm no longer calling it the free table because well-intentioned people then feel inspired to send me free fabric. So we're changing the giveaway to "Make Room for Molly." It works exactly as before. For folks living within the bounds of the USPS (i.e. no international, sorry), I will send you a small box of scraps (about 3 yards) from my stash that meet the criteria that you give in a comment you leave below (along with email address if you are a noreply blogger). For example, the Rainbow Scrappy Challenge (RSC) has moved to the color red and just maybe you are short on red scraps. Or novelty. Or lights. Or darks. Or flamingos. Or roses.

After the Monday Midnight deadline (Sept 7), Molly will randomly pick three winners. So if you are interested in trying to win a free package of quilting fabric/scraps, please leave a comment explaining what you would like.

In the meantime, Molly would now like to address a very important concern she has about fake cats.

As you may already know, there are various individuals who are selling cat heads on the Internet (for example: wakuneco at https://www.waku-neco.com/order-english). How can you tell if what you are seeing is real or fake? Molly says its all in the eyes...

Fake or Real?

Fake or real?

You guessed it! All fake.

Thanks for offering some of your fabric collection. I'd love any toiles or French General pieces you'd be willing to part with, or cheddars. Molly needn't worry, we'd never mistake her for a fake cat. Amityquilter2008 at g mail dot com.

I could really use some aqua pieces!!! Thank you for a chance, and Molly is a good kitty!

I've seen these fake kitties (although probably not the same person) and they are captivating. The person I know does them as 'reminders of love' of a lost pet. I could use juvenile as I do not buy, collect, nor get them in as donations. I have NEVER made an Eye Spy quilt and it would be fun to make it with my granddaughter.

I would love some fall color scraps - those wonderful shades of gold, orange, red. Or some brights. Or, well, I love almost all scraps. I have recently gravitated back to Thimbleberries line of fabric. Thank you for the opportunity to enter the giveaway. (shirparks@gmail.com)

Buddy is not fake! Unless fake cats growl at squirrels. I’ll take any bright scraps - I’m in danger of losing my Scrap Sewer’s license.

Those fake cat heads are kinda creepy! I know my pups would be completely freaked out!
As the weather changes, and my mind wanders towards making some autumn table toppers, I realize I have very little fabric to do so! Warm, earthy fall fabrics, plus some yellow would be a perfect fabric prize box for me! You are so sweet to share!

I'm making tiny houses that need interesting things peering at you from the doorway. Thanks, kthurn@bektel.com

Ohh, those fake cats are weird. I've not seen them in person, would rather see Molly and Buddy in person.
Thank you for offering to share your fabric. As before, some roses, some pinks; adding reds, browns....

If you have extra polka dots in any color or dot size, I'd be willing to accept a donation. And any cat fabric. Thanks for the opportunity.

My stash of oranges and purples are in sad shape. Any variety would be lovely. Thank you.

Since Molly's rules allow double dipping, I could use some orange, multi-colored brights, and or polka dots. When I need to gaze at cat faces I just come here.

I would love florals (realistic) or neutrals (lighter than a brown paper bag). I am always using these in my scrappy quilts. Thank you. The idea of fake cats is creepy. I just got head-butted by a real one wanting affection.

Faux cat heads? Weird. But the, I always have one or two live ones nearby. I really don’t NEED more scraps, but sure could use some brights or solids. Thanks

Since I'm about ready to embark on the psp20 train, I could use just about any kind of scraps! Thanks for the giveaway! And I'm with Molly - only real cats, please.

Novelties and neutrals even if they include cat heads are always welcome here.

Those fake cats are scary!! (Oh, sometimes your real ones are too.) I actually do need reds, and I'm always up for that aqua/teal/turquoise group. Thanks!

Black, white, neutrals, blues and anything music related. If that isn't enough to go by, you can add cats, dogs, and horses and/or food.
