Molly questions whether this blog can go on because she is operating with a severe shortage of demerits. Buddy's very existence has emptied the reserve. For me, Molly has replaced the demerit system with sleep deprivation. And then a prize winner from last month had the nerve to SEND fabric here which would normally result in compounding demerits applied to her permanent record. However, Molly was completely out of demerits to give.
The only other punishment Molly could think of was to package and send three zucchini instead. To keep the zucchini from bruising, Molly filled the box with packing tomatoes. It is a huge box. I think she is slightly mollified for now, so we will go ahead with another giveaway over Labor day weekend. The sign up will start on Friday with the winner picked on Tuesday.
And maybe between now and then, I might find my sewing machine and use it.
Meanwhile, we did look through the fabric that was sent to us and we each picked three of our favorites. Molly picked the top row with the hummingbird, the yarn, and the stunningly realistic imagery of her staff. Buddy chose the second row of squares because of the sophisticated artistry and not for any other reason such as his fond memories of eating a bat. The last row represents my favorites because I live in Oregon and have more squirrel fabric than beaver fabric which doesn't seem right somehow. The second square proves the point, and the third raises the question of why cardinals live in Virginia but not Oregon.
And for anyone wondering what happened to "Put a Bird On It" and Flamingo August, we have moved on to September Owls. Next question please.

We got a great laugh over the fabric of “you” and Buddy’s dogs and ponies in exquisite artistic rendering. There’s no sleep deprivation here; since the weather turned cooler, we’re all sleeping like cats).
My furkids have demerits because they just aren't helping any more - on strike I think. It's the 'reorganizing' that means cleaning and they hate the vacumm. Love that little cowboy print.
It's always good to start the morning laughing out loud. Thanks. Since it's now September, the traditional start of the school year, won't the demerit system be reset to zero, so you and Buddy and your misbehaving followers can start earning new points?
