Priorities

Occasionally I lose my way...a few days ago I thought it would be fun to make a quilt from gray plaids and call it Portland Sky. I had cut about 50 squares until I realized that I was well on my way to making a sad, dull, waste of time. Instead I finished layering the seahorse quilt and have finally begun quilting it.

And here is the exact opposite of sad, dull and a waste of time. Also not plaid.

I have a feeling she could be plaid if she wanted to be...

I just love your seahorse quilt--glad to hear you are layering it up for quilting...we've certainly had enough of "gray skies" here, too!!

That seahorse seems to be giving you a knowing look with that cocked eyebrow. "See?" he/it seems to be saying. "Isn't this SO MUCH BETTER?"

I'm feeling stuck again with this week's challenge but I think a thought pushed through the murk this morning. We'll see...definitely going smaller this time!

Well, gray can really be invigorated by small additions of bright colors and made to sing. The gray skies here could certainly use some pinks and reds of sun, that would make a huge improvement.

Molly and Buddy could be considered shades of gray.
