May Fabric Giveaway

It's time for the May fabric giveaway...despite my current project...breaking the Guinness world record for longest time spent layering a quilt. So far, I'm up to a week. And this isn't like a dance contest where you engage in the activity the whole time. Instead I wander off and do other activities I prefer such as not layering a quilt.

And yes, packing up and sending a curated package of fabric to a monthly winner is another preferred activity. To participate in the giveaway, just leave a comment (and email address if you are anonymous or no-reply) telling me what fabric you would like.

I would suggest you not ask Molly to select your fabric because she is only seeing red after her visit to the vet this morning. They drew Molly's blood so she drew some of theirs.

You can also pick the random option that I used last month, where I randomly pick a fabric from each bin.

On May 5, at 11:59 pm Pacific Standard Time, Buddy will close the submissions, then contact his accountant who will randomly choose the winner. I will notify the winner by email the next day, asking for your address and getting clarification about your fabric preferences.

Unfortunately, due to the high cost of international shipping, the giveaway is limited to the USA.

Previous winners may enter again.

A random pick of fabrics sounds like a good thing if I'm not a loser.

Oh, I do love that quilt! I have a box on my cutting table where strings are gathering for the next string quilt. I'm always in the mood for pinks and blues but there's such a fun sense of adventure in random!

Good luck with that massive layering job! (And now that you've brought out that quilt again, I will have to go back to sitting on my hands so I don't start one of my own.) (I have SOOOOOO many quilts started...) (I'm starting to suspect that I'm not actually a quilter - I'm a quilt-block maker. Two different things entirely.)
I shouldn't put my name in the hat since I still haven't put away all the goodies I got in a previous fabric giveaway, but greens would be gratefully (and gleefully) accepted.
And I hope both the kitties get an extra treat today - Buddy for all his hard work monitoring submissions and Molly for her valiant defense of her boundaries.

SO agreeing with Gayle! I keep telling myself "Must. Stop. Analyzing" (because that's where my brain goes first: How can I make that?)

Got a chuckle out of the "valiant defense of her boundaries" comment.

Hopefully the bloodletting reveals nothing but good health! I am appalled at how few novelties are in my stash, but also think taking a risk on random picks would be fun!

Love that quilt that you are layering! It's going to be awesome. I would request yellow or gold scraps or red scraps. Thank you for the opportunity to enter the giveaway.

I’m crazy about string quilts even though they never seem to reduce the number of strings on hand! A random selection would be my choice. thanks.

That is a beautiful string quilt! I'm going to go with random. . .all good! Sorry that Molly had a rough day. I hope the results of the draw are all positive. Maybe that news will improve her attitude!

Poor Molly! Getting stuck for a blood draw is never fun. A random fabric draw, however, would be. Thanks for sharing! marciinidaho at yahoo dot com.

I am going with random again! Poor Molly! I don't enjoy blood work either. I would be locked up if I defended my boundaries lol. Good luck everyone

Poor Molly! I hate getting blood drawn as well, they keep sticking me, veins roll. I love anything bright or purple 😻

Buddy can decide for me. Love your quilt.

Love your string quilt! Molly can pick for me...poor baby. It seems only fair that since they took some of her blood that she should draw some of theirs! My cat would have done the same, haha. Thank you for the chance to win!

Have to admire Molly's spirit! How about greens--I need to make a Toucan quilt! Or creamy backgrounds? Or periwinkle blues? Must make a periwinkle blue/mango orange star quilt, too! Thank you and good luck with basting! Only thing worse than that is quilting it.

Your string quilt is amazing! I would just select random as my fabric preference.

I love all colors however gravitate towards blue and teal the most, it seems. What a great way to bless quilters and destash at the same time. Thank you.

Love your string quilt, it's gorgeous. Low volume background fabrics for me please, if I'm so lucky.

Love your string star quilt! I will throw my name in the hat for blues and neutrals. Thanks for sharing!

While I love string quilts and totally need to rein in the boxes of strings around here, what I'm really short on at the moment is "pale" fabrics, light pinks, blues, greens, purples, yellows, you name it. You are so kind to share each month! Sammy goes in for his annual checkup, with any luck none of us will be bloodied in the process ...

BTW: NOT here for the give-away. Here for the cat and quilt pics and stories.
