Tending the Garden

Here's a small dogwood tree in my backyard. I have been trying to catch up with spring and thought I should stop long enough to enjoy the flower show.

And yes, the azaleas are in full froth.

And here was a hummingbird that stopped by while I had my camera in hand. Do you think he's wearing pink to match the garden?

Your dogwood is gorgeous. At our elevation, we’re always behind the valley, and so ours hasn’t even budded out yet. I noticed the azaleas have buds on them, however. They should be opening soon.

Lovely dogwood and gorgeous azalea--my azaleas are just in tight budded stage--but they look like
they will give a good showing this year--we've had a whole lot of rain...and we sprayed to ward off deer thinking they are dessert for them....!!! Hugs, Julierose

Oh my, you’ve got some gorgeous things in your yard! Our backyard is too small to add another tree. But if I could, it would be a dogwood. My consolation is that we are going to have a bumper crop of apricots this year.

How gorgeous! I planted a dogwood about 3 years ago but it hasn't grown much yet. I'm hoping one day it will be a beautiful tree like yours.
