Here are my Tiny Tuesday blocks so far. Or should I say these are the ones I found. They tend to get scattered about. It may have something to do with my making them on Wee Wednesday. In any case, if you would like to dive into some cool aqua, head over to the Rainbow Scrappy Challenge.
Meanwhile I am preparing for the last day of "The Gathering of the Guilds." The Northwest Quilters' Guild has demonstrations in the lobby while the main event is held inside the Convention Center. The Gathering is sponsored by the Woodworking Guild, the Pottery Guild, the Weavers' Guild, the Bead Guild and the Metalcrafting Guild.
I'm taking my best Janome machine and will show foundation piecing...making spiderweb blocks. This will allow for anyone to participate because it won't really matter if the seams vary or are wonky. I was going to demonstrate how to rotary cut strips with a cat laying on the cutting mat, but I couldn't find any cat volunteers. I'm disappointed because only quilters appreciate what a danger sport it really is.

Dangerous sport indeed ! I once trimmed one of my kitty's toenails with the rotary cutter. Yes we both survived-she and her sister are now 8 years old and are still "kitties" Love Love the orange Janome
I haven’t done last week’s Tiny Tuesday yet. Your collection includes some I don’t have, and it’s missing some I do. Weird. When I make last week’s, I’ll have 17. I tend to blame cats for things like this. Possibly Sadie has been sewing when I’m not around. I was going to go to the Gathering of the Guilds on Friday, but then realized there were no felters nor any quilters among the guilds there. Never thought about there being interlopers in the lobby.
Wow, maybe we’re going to have to move to Portland to get in on all the good stuff. On the other hand, maybe I could try a little harder to find a guild here. We do have the annual UQSM show coming up this coming week, though. Love your Hello Kitty machine. Darla wants me to get her one now. She was sewing with me today (picture in my next post).
My daughter has warned me that she is going to be a crazy cat lady. I said that is fine because all the crazy cat ladies I am familiar with are really funny. :D
I've been printing out all the tiny tuesday patterns and hope to get to them soon. Love your blocks.
Love your machine! I would have expected a Hello Kitty machine to be pink, but orange is my favourite colour so this is great.
Lynx wants me to get one of those Hello Kitty machines now. He's sure that it will give him a better welcome when he jumps up on the sewing table between me and my machine. Hello Kitty!
