Switching it up refers to stitching up a quilt in progress that you find as you're cleaning up the sewing room. I have gotten most of the flat fold fabric settled in their new home. And then I needed to find a place for this spiderweb quilt. Seeing it reminded me how much I enjoy string piecing. Especially because my other options involve more thinking.
Given these bins of strips were handy, I enjoyed a bright, happy, easy evening of sewing.

Wow, sure it is a switch! Such lovel string to work from.
Oh goody! I'd forgotten about this one! Love that orange!
I love me a good spiderweb quilt! I've made several, and this is a fun alternate layout: https://quiltville.blogspot.com/2015/02/in-pursuit-of-completed-spider-web-top.html

Love the orange!!!!! Really pops! Love Spiderweb quilts. Yes to mindless string piecing when you just want to sew.
Obviously, Buddy hasn't been helping you sort the string bin, but then I can't imagine it will stay that neat for long.
