December Fabric Giveaway

It's time to have another fabric giveaway so Buddy will have more room to store his cat toy hoard. In previous months I was moving flat folds of fabric and taking cuts from these for the giveaway. These are stored away so I will be digging into scraps, small cuts (up to 1/2 yard) and yardage. This will depend on what you want such as particular colors, 30s, batik, novelty etc.  I will fill a USPS envelope with that fabric and send it to you.

For a chance to win, leave a comment specifying what color/theme of fabric you would like. If you are anonymous, I will need you to include your email address so I can contact you to let you know you won and to get your mailing address. The comment collection phase will last through Dec. 4, 2023 11:59 pm, west coast time.  The random drawing will be conducted by Molly Kitten Emeritus, which ensures that the drawing will be corrupt, but entirely mysterious.

Unfortunately, participates are limited to those who live in the U.S. (or have a U.S. mailing address to use) due to international postal rates.

And no, that is not my stash in the photo, and I don't think I have any of the fabrics shown. This is a display picture from a local upcoming quilter's "estate sale." I put estate sale in quotes because it looks more like a downsizing sale or even destashing/quilt store overstock sale.. Hint: no set of china or Kitchen Aid mix for sale.

This is another photo for the same "estate sale." The other items highlighted are a sewing machine, a serger, several dress forms and piles of ribbons.

Oh my, the “estate” sale does look like a fabric store close out sale and not from an active quilters house….I mean, bolts but no scraps, horrors!. Purple would be my choice if Molly mysteriously selects my name.

I'm confused: not the flat folds, not the scraps. Did you mean, perhaps: "...so I will NOW be digging..."?

That stash! I'm so very glad neither I nor my progeny will have something of that magnitude to deal with in the coming years. I've been self-shopping for years and still have drawers and drawers from which to sew, but nothing as overwhelming as that!

Not in the drawing, just popping in for the clarification of the terms.

Hi Sally,
My cat, Coconut, is new to quilting at just 5 months old. Coconut would be gracious to receive any color and theme of fabric you'd be willing to send our way. In April I had to say goodbye to my long time quilting friends Shadow and Eileen who were good at critiquing quilts. My training with Coconut is beginning to move underway.

No cat helper here, perhaps that is why I am so slow? My tiny dog and I would enjoy any kind of scraps, the more colorful the better!

I am still in a very "blue" phase so any blues would be appreciated! However, I must ask where the estate sale is...those are some beautiful civil war prints! bethastrand@gmail.com

You use such unique fabric that anything you want to be rid of would be great. I do not do earthy colors, just brights and funky! Love your posts.

Low volume background fabrics would be my choice if I get lucky - fingers crossed!

As always, I would be happy with any fabric that the cats choose to send me. Thank you for the chance.

That looks like a very interesting "estate sale". If I were the lucky person whose name was selected, I would love any gold/yellow/mustard colored scraps. Or red or aqua or whatever. I love scraps. Thank you for the opportunity to enter the giveaway. (shirparks@gmail.com)

There is no such thing as too many scraps. If I am lucky enough to be chosen by Molly, just fill the envelope! marciinidaho at yahoo dot com

Yeah, that doesn't exactly shout out "estate sale", does it?

Hello Kitties and Staff,

I love me some theme fabric, the wackier the better! they're so much fun to discover in a quilt.

Dear Molly Kitten and Buddy,
I am in need of greens to make a green quilt. With trees. Trees for kittens to climb on. Thank you.

Maybe I should have an estate sale...real estate sale, that is. If the termites continue to have their way there won't be anything to sell.

Brown scraps sound delightful. Carmels, chocolates, brownies, fudge, latte...

My scrap work is always looking for neutrals, white, off whites anything that works with scrap blocks. Doesn't even have to be big chunks. The more mixture, the better. Rosie is telling me she is toy deprived even though she mostly plays with her 100 springs.

I have the most fun with scraps when they are novelty prints - fun to find ways to feature the designs. Soooo generous of you to share with us!
