Digression

Today my task was to remove the border around the seahorses and replace it with a larger border. The size of the border has a constraint of being a multiple of an odd number of the diamonds in the final border. I don't mind doing the arithmetic but I do mind when I get a different number when I check my work. In that case, I sew hexies.

Darn those calculations! Good thing hexies don't require math. Oh wait...

Check out the free app from Robert Koffman Fabrics called Quilting Calculator... there is lots of helpful information in that app.

Love the hexies. I could never make them as handsewing is my least available skill. They look so fun and cheery.
