Scrappy

Today I went down to the Willamette Valley Quilt show and while there I ran into Cynthia Brunz, the infamous quilter who blogs at Quilting is More Fun Than Housework.  She described how she likes to dump scraps on her floor and then let the scraps "speak to her" and give her the idea of the quilt they would like to become. So when I got home I decided to give it a try...but it must be a very special skill because all I see is a big pile of scraps.

This absolutely needs to turn into a quilt. Enough said!

I bet that if you do the same thing in a couple weeks, it will turn into a different pile of scraps that might look like, oh, maybe a parrot or something. Lucky you getting to meet Cynthia. Lucky Cynthia getting to meet you.

It was really great seeing you yesterday. I always enjoy talking with you.

BTW - If you look real hard you can see a whiskered red nosed otter doing a backflip :)

I definitely think those scraps of yours have a mind of their own!

This is one of the best of the penguin month. Bring on the parrots.

Your scraps sure are helpful. I would love to throw my scraps to the floor and have them be this helpful, although I did find some scraps on the floor when I was making my Halloweens pumpkin quilt and a face just showed up.
